From the intersection with FR16 near Three Creek Meadow, south of Sisters, travel generally NE on FR1628 for 1.8 miles. Turn right onto FR1628-600 and continue for 0.5 miles, crossing Three Creek. Turn left onto FR1628-620 and continue for 0.5 mile. Bear left on FR1628-621 and continue for less than 0.1 mile to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on steel pipe in a collar of stones; rising 2"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is downhill, about 3250' N of FR1628-621. About halfway to the site, cross a dirt road where there is a LOCATION POSTER. There is an orange Carsonite post with LAND SURVEY MARKER and PROPERTY BOUNDARY decals, which bears N, 3' distant from the corner. Found four white firs (one a 6' tall stump) with healed blazes, all with yellow BEARING TREE tags and ATTENTION signs on the reverse sides. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, this corner bears N1.1°W from WAYMARK WMMCKC, 2628' distant.

What property is this mark defining?:
The land E of the corner is a part of Skyline Forest, presently owned by Fidelity National Timber; else Deschutes National Forest. Note that the Carsonite post is facing in the wrong direction, that is, the land behind the sign is private property, not Deschutes National Forest.
