First Nation depicts the life and times of the Nicola Valley before the first settlers arrived.

There are a series of panels showing the Shackan Indian Band within the Nlakápamux First Nations. They are the Scw'exmx: People of the Creeks named for the Nicola River.

There are several magnificent examples of Scw'exmx warriors and the other panels one of a basket weaver, mother and child and what appears to be a horserace.

In 2006, Michelle Laughery created this magnificent tribute to the Shackan Indian Band. This is another example of this very talented artist.

This is one of eighty murals she has to her credit throughout British Columbia.
