This lovely public park is located on land that was donated to the local community for use as a public recreation ground on 25th November 1938 by Ada Philp, in commemoration of her late husband, Samuel Philp of Harlington.

The sign provides a map of the park and also lists some of the birds, frogs and trees that can be viewed along the woodland paths. This park is located on Shepiston Lane, near busy highway M4. There is a Comfort Inn across the street, where we stayed during our vacation, and we noticed this flora and fauna sign as we took some short walks to stretch our legs. The paths are well used in this green park!

Here is a partial list of the items on the sign (visit it for yourself to see the entire list!)
Kestrel bird
Jay bird
Common Toad
Brimstone butterfly
Horse Chestnut tree.

Note: some local maps spell the name differently: Philips, Phelps. On the sign the spelling is Philp's.
