Merritt, British Columbia is nicknamed the "Country Music Capital of Canada"
Annually for the last 12 years Merritt hosts the Mountain Music Festival. The festival draws over 15,000 fans that come to Merritt to enjoy the music of some of Country Music biggest stars.
Johnny Reid: John Kirkland Reid was born August 21, 1974 in Lanark, Scotland, UK. He is a Multi-platinum singer, songwriter and entertainer and his smash hit song, "Out of the Blue" is featured in this "blue" mural with some of the lyrics.
