Merritt, British Columbia is nicknamed the "Country Music Capital of Canada"

Annually for the last 12 years Merritt hosts the Mountain Music Festival. The festival draws over 15,000 fans that come to Merritt to enjoy the music of some of Country Music biggest stars.

Paul Brandt, George Canyon and Aaron Pritchett all call Canada home. This large mural is located on the side of the City Furniture and Appliance building.

In 2005, M. (Michelle) Laughery created this great mural of some of Canada's favorite country music's stars. This is one of eighty murals she has to her credit throughout British Columbia.

Paul Bryant: Paul Rennée Belobersycky was born July 21, 1972 in Calgary, Alberta. He is the most awarded male Canadian Country Music artist in history.

He aspired to be a doctor when his musical career was launched in 1996 with his hit song: "My Heart Has a History,"

George Canyon: Frederick George Lays, Jr. was born August 22, 1970 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Not only is he a great country singer with worldwide acclaim, he is just as well known for his for his philanthropic endeavors.

On February 21, 2008 he was recognized for support of the Canadian troops and was appointed Honorary Colonel for the Canadian Air Force at 14 Wing Greenwood in Nova Scotia.

Aaron Pritchett was born August 2, 1970 in Terrace, British Columbia. With 15 top 10 hits and 12 videos, Aaron Pritchett has proven himself to be one of the hardest working and most entertaining guys in the business.

In 2007, he was awarded CCMA for Independent Male Artist of the Year and the Songwriter of the Year for “Hold My Beer”. He opened the CCMA televised award and delivered a dynamic performance.
