Noticed the old Fallout Shelter sign as I was visiting in the area. The basement area of the courthouse was designated as an area fallout shelter in the event of the BIG one.

Below the stairs in the photo is a sheltered doorway for the entrance to the basement area of the Montgomery County Courthouse. The sign shows a capacity of 345 fortunate ones who would find shelter here in a nuclear emergency.
