A lifeguard scholarship has been established in honor of Michael K. Knight, the San Diego lifeguard who died in 1991. The scholarship offered by the San Diego Lifesaving Assn., will be awarded to a San Diegan 15 or 16 years old who wishes to attend the city of San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program.
