For an early Twentieth Century building in Vernon, this one was noticeably larger than the norm. Reason - it was built as the warehouse for a farm machinery dealership. It seems to have been a drug store for 101 years now.

E.G. Prior & Company
3101-30th Avenue - 1906
E G. Prior & Company's building was originally a warehouse for agricultural machinery. In 1908, F.S. Reynolds bought it to carry on the same business. In 1913 it was converted to a drugstore, with quarters for the Ranchers' Club upstairs. "The new building... being erected for Messrs. E.G. Prior & Company... will be a commodious three-storey building 50 x 100 feet, with plate glass front, modern equipment, elevators, and every facility for displaying wares to the best advantage."
