J.W. Glover Block

3312 to 3316 - 30th Avenue - 1910

The construction of this cement-block building in 1910 was the result of the rapid growth of J.W. Glover's hardware business. Glover's Hardware occupied the west half of the building, Louis Jones sold ice cream next door, and a photography studio was located upstairs. A "Hot Peanut" vending machine stood on the sidewalk outside. "The J.W. Glover Hardware Co. have moved into their new and commodious quarters on Barnard Avenue, a few doors east of their old stand."
