This life-size sculpture of Cisneros is in a walking pose. He is wearing a suit with jacket and a scarf around his neck, along with a wide brim hat. In his right hand he has a writing implement and in his left hand are several articles looking like some papers and perhaps a railroad spike. The sculpture is mounted on a white marble base which has bas reliefs on the sides and some inscriptions. The inscription on the front of the plinth reads:
