R.E. Berry Drugs

3224-30th Avenue - 1904

The home of R.E. Berry Drugs was originally built for J.S. Colton-Fox, a Vernon businessman. Mr. Berry moved his business here in 1910, calling himself a chemist, bookseller, and stationer. The building has been home to many businesses over the years, including a grocery store, barber shop and pool hall, leather shop and restaurant. "The new block on Barnard Avenue just completed by contractor Crowell is perhaps the finest in the city... the whole building is heated by hot air and will be one of the best business stands in Vernon."
