This house was built around 1690, in the historical center of Tallinn. It has some notorious guests, like king Charles XII from Sweden and Peter I from Russia. It was the born place of one of the grandfathers of the well known Russian poet Pushkine.
The house was named after Abram Hannibal (1696-1781), a Russian general of Ethiopian roots, lived there as the commander-general of Tallinn's garrison.
In 1785 the house gained its Rococo style and was extended.
