The Kate Coe headstone is in the Winfield Cemetery located on Newene Road, from Hwy. 97 turn west on Berry Road then north of Newene Road. Cemetery is about 500 meters on your right.

Kate Coe was born in 1875 and passed away in 1976 at the age of 101.

The Winfield cemetery is a very interesting old cemetery with lots of history.

Some events that took place during her life time included Bell's first functioning telephone is demonstrated in Boston, Battle of Batoche, Canadian Pacific Railway is completed from coast to coast, first symphony orchestra in Canada, Women won right to vote, Anne of Green Gables was published, First World War, Women are considered "Persons", birth of the Dionne quintuplets, World War II, Women won right to vote, and Maple Leaf becomes official flag of Canada. 1875 - Kate Coe was born
