This mural is located next to the main entrance of Bruderholz school in the south of Basel.
The mural depicts two parents, the father holding a child on his shoulders and both watching two riders in the background. The mother looks in the opposite direction, towards the viewer. The mural is a typical example for public art of the 1930s/40s.
It was created by Martin Christ in 1940 and funded by the municipal art promotion department.
