A 14' high zinc Civil War monument has a 6' high figure of a Union soldier standing at parade rest on a base that has inscriptions on all four sides. The soldier wearing a cap, an overcoat down to his knees, and a cape. He is holding a rifle vertically with both hands, left over right.

Panels on each of the four sides contain an image. From the front around: G.A.R. Medal - Soldier on Horseback - Anchor and Chain - Crossed Cannons.

Inscriptions from the front around form a complete dedication:

ERECTED BY THE MEMBERS OF
PARKER POST No. 123 G.A.R.
AND POST No. 3 MATRONS OF REPUBLIC

IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THE
BRAVE DEFENDERS OF THE UNION FOR
THEIR VALOR AND DEVOTION

THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED TO
COMMEMORATE THE SERVICES OF THE
SOLDIERS AND SAILORS WHO SERVED
IN THE WAR FOR THE UNION

IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO HASTENED
TO THE RESCUE WHEN TREASON RAISED
ITS HAND TO DRAW THE LIFE BLOOD
OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY.

All that is known about the date of installation is that it was before 1903, the year the person who gave the oration, Past Department Commander George H. Evans, died.
