Rock Point Cemetery is a pioneer cemetery containing many older graves of the early settlers of this area from the 1850s and 1860s. The cemetery is currently being maintained by volunteers of the Gold Hill Historical Society. One part of the cemetery is sectioned off as the IOOF Cemetery and contains graves of former members of the fraternal organization. Many of the older gravesites here have fallen to disrepair over the decades but are in the process of being cleaned up and having vegetation cut back. FindaGrave lists this cemetery as containing just under 800 graves.
