Die Zweite Kammer tagte zunächst im großherzoglichen Schloss und in einem Haus am Rondellplatz, dann von 1822 bis 1933 in dem von dem Weinbrenner-Schüler Friedrich Arnold fertig gestellten Ständehaus in der Ritterstraße, dem ersten deutschen Parlamentsgebäude. Schon bald nach der so genannten nationalsozialistischen Machtergreifung war das Schicksal des Landtags besiegelt. Noch im Jahr 1933, am 9. Juni, schaltete sich der Landtag durch die Annahme des badischen Ermächtigungsgesetzes selbst aus. Am 30. Januar 1934 wurde er durch das Reichsgesetz über den "Neuaufbau der Länder" aufgehoben.

The Second Chamber met first in the Grand Ducal Palace and in a house on Rondellplatz, then from 1822 to 1933 in the finished of the Weinbrenner student Friedrich Arnold house stands in the Knights Road, the first German parliament building. Soon after the Nazi seizure of power known as the fate of the Diet was sealed. Even in 1933, on 9 June, the parliament turned by the adoption of the Enabling Act of Baden itself. On 30 January 1934 he was picked up by the Reich Law on "rebuilding the country".
