Areál puvodne sloužil Verejné zeleni mesta Brna, kde se na rozlehlé ploše nacházelo nekolik skleníku vytápených kotelnou stojící uprostred areálu. V roce 2007 areál prevzala MC Brno-jih, která celou zanedbanou plochu nechala vycistit. Kotelna je jednou ze trí puvodních staveb, které zustaly stát a 3.4.2014 byla dokoncena její rekonstrukce. Osud komínu stojícího u budovy byl dlouhou dobu nejistý, nicméne vedení místní radnice rozhodlo, že komín prestaví na rozhlednu.
Výška rozhledny je 24,5 m a kapacita horní desky 13 lidí.

The area originally served the public green city of Brno, where the vast area there were several greenhouses heated by the boiler room standing in the middle. In 2007, took over the area of Brno-jih, which neglected the whole area kept clean. The boiler room is one of the three original buildings that remained standing was completed April 3, 2014 and its reconstruction. The fate of the chimney standing near the building has long been uncertain, however, lead local council decided to rebuild the chimney tower.
