Memorial Park is one of Jefferson City's finest parks with trees,trails, a large pavilion, and a swimming pool/water park. The Blue Star Marker was added at the entrance to the Park on Main Street in the Western part of the city. It was sponsored by the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri in conjunction with the the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Commission. The date on the plaque is May 8, 2008. It was dedicated in honor of Donna Landry who was the Blue Star Memorial Chair from 1993-2007 for the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri.
