This school building was built in the early 1900's and served an area just north of the city of Alliance, Ohio, in Lexington township called Bolton. It was a small settlement along the original Ohio & Pennsylvania Railroad. The school closed in 1956 when a new school called Lexington Elementary School opened. The building was used as a nursing home for a number of years in the 1960's but has been abandoned ever since.
