The Finger Lakes Trails maps identify the Leanto on Balsam Lake Mountain, but I was surprised to discover a warren of trails all around the Leanto to level patches of ground where tents could be put up as well.

I've identified a firepit ring just north of the Leanto for coordinates, but I located two additional tent sites and trails leading to more in every direction.
There's a spring nearby, but no privy. All this is at 3350 ft elevation, within a .4 mile walk to Balsam Lake Mountain.
