This is the most car-accessible primitive campsites I've seen lately, with tracks leading right to the tent areas. There were two tents set up when we passed by with room for more.
The trail access point to Slide Mountain, Peekamoose and Table Mountain are just two more miles down the road, so this is the "perfect" place to stay if you are looking for an early start to any of these Catskill high peaks (and Cornell, Whittenburg too). The trail also leads to the Finger. Lakes Trail easternmost end.
Number of tent spaces: Four or more
Access to Campsite: By car or foot
Special Features: This is near the fly- fishing capital of New York.
