John Dunn was part of both the mountain biking and road riding crowds in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the time of his death. Cyclists who knew him requested the placement of this ghost bike. Steve Massick, John Armijo, John Vance, Jim Ransom, George Tapley, Dave Hamilton, Grant Stockdale and Andrew Fraueigus, friends of Dunn, assembeled for the placement of this ghost bike. Others in attendence were Steve Mathias, Mike Mangan, Arne Leonard and Jennifer Buntz. John Dunn was someone who loved to ride, had a relaxed personality and a warm smile. He is still missed today."

The remembrance of John Dunn, an Albuquerque cyclist who was killed in a collision with a motor vehicle in 1994. There are many still here who knew John and we are inviting all cyclists to the installation of a ghost bike for John on November 21st at 2:00 pm. The location is at Singing Arrow Avenue and Dorado Place SE. This location is on a popular route for cyclists riding to and from the canyon in the SE part of town. There will be flowers you can place on the bike and people who knew John will say a few words. Join us if you can; all are welcome."
