In front of the so-called 'Schloss Rosenstein' (Rosenstein Castle), a castle in Stuttgart, Germany, Baden-Württemberg are two lions located. They are playing with a ball and protecting the entrance.

The lions are made of sandstone.
The original lions had been created by Albert Güldenstein in 1852. They consisted of bronze. But these have been lost during World War II. In 1960 the lions have been re-newed in sandstone by Hermann Brellochs.
