Cadran solaire de Sept îles - Sundials on Waymarking.com

Il s'agit d'un modèle équatorial où les deux faces sont graduées. Pour représenter "l'esprit des lieux", le cadran est fait d'aluminium, d'acier inoxydable et de bronze. Ses matériaux représentent la vocation industrialo-portuaire de l'endroit. Les chiffres romains et les pièces ont été taillées par un fin jet d'eau à très haute pression, ce qui confère une coupe nette et sans bavure. L'hélice est décorative et fut récupérée d'un navire abandonné, avec la permission du Port de Sept-Îles. Le fini de l'aluminium fut passé au jet de sable pour lui donner un aspect givré et tout le cadran est enduit d'une couche protectrice claire.

This is a model where two equatorial faces are graduated. To represent "sense of place", the dial is made of aluminum, stainless steel and bronze.
