This horse & buggy crossing sign might be quite common in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA, which is well known for its large Amish population. But it may come as surprise to find it in Northern Ontario.
Well, it seems that between 1924 and 1948, a small community of Mennonites (Amish's cousins, so to speak) were established along what latter became the TransCanada Highway 11. In 1948, the community was dissolved. But recently, new Mennonites are establishing themselves in the Matheson Community area...
