Pak konecne prihnal krávy až do Pýlu. Zeus Hermovi narídil, aby ukradené krávy vrátil, a proti rozsudku Dia nic nezmohl ani Hermés. Vrátil se tedy s Apollónem nejdríve do své jeskyne, odkud si vzal z pod polštáre svou lyru, kterou si pred nedávnem vyrobil z želvího krunýre a trí vetévek, a posléze zavedl Apollóna k oné jeskyni, kde byly krávy ukryty.

Hermés vynalezl pestní zápas, astronomii, tónovou stupnici a mnoho dalších vecí. Uctívá ho poutník i recník, kupec i atlet a dokonce i zlodeji.

Young nearly naked man with a flute in his hand. It's Mercury (Hermes). The flute played in the myth of Hermes stohlavému giant Argo. The statue also has a mischievous expression.

Hermes, son of Zeus and Maia, in Greek mythology, inter alia, the messenger of the gods. In Roman mythology, was identified with the god Mercury, or with Archangel Raphael. From the connection with the Egyptian god Anup was in ancient syncretism figure Hermanubis. In Egyptian mythology, it is especially identified with the god Thoth, who later received the (Greek) designation Hermes Trismegistus. This division is not clear, due to different interpretations there are often overlaps deities and the use of different names for each of them.

Son of Zeus and Maia was born on Mount Kylléné in Arcadia. He is the protector of roads and pilgrims, but also thieves, god of trade, deceit and fraud and, last but not least, the messenger of the gods. No one can surpass him in cleverness, shrewdness, and even in the theft.

Once Hermes was born, immediately came up with his first master-piece. Quietly crept out of diapers, so his mother did not recognize anything, and went to Pieria, where at that time Apollo pastured cows. Quickly stole from Apollo's herd of 15 cows and their feet tied reeds and branches to cover his tracks behind him. As already late in the evening drove a herd of over Boeotia, he met an old man who worked in his vineyard. I promised him one of the cows, if anyone tells you that way herd rushed. The old man eagerly agreed and promised to remain silent. Hermés therefore went forth, when suddenly it occurred to him that the old man might try. He changed his appearance, came to him and asked for a herd of cows. They offered him a bull and a cow, if the old man will tell everything he knows. The old man thought for a long time, but finally prevailed over greed honesty (as indeed it already is) and the old man betrayed everything. Hermés at the old man very angry that broke a promise, and transformed him into a silent rock that has forever silent.

Then finally rushed cows to pollen. You sacrificed two cows and the rest of the gods led backwards into the cave to the track have not inside, but outside. Then he returned to his cradle and wrapped in a diaper. At that time, Apollo was looking for his cows. Oracular bird led him to pollen, but the cave Apollo looked, for the track led out. Finally he came to the cave where Hermes lay in his cradle, and immediately began to rebuke him for stealing cows and demanded their return. He threatened cleverly questioned, but against Hermes smarts could do nothing. Finally, Herma forced to go with him before Zeus himself, who had to resolve their dispute. Zeus ordered Hermes to return the stolen cows, and the judgment against Dia anything about it or Hermes. So he went back to the first Apollo to his cave, where he took a pillow under his lyre, which he recently made ??of tortoise shell and three twigs, and eventually led to the Apollo of that cave where the cows were hidden. While doing back Apollo, Hermes began to play his lyre so beautifully that i took the Apollo. Apollo with him finally agreed to let his cows when he can return to his lyre. Hermes agreed, and to entertain, to graze the cows, made ??a shepherd's flute. Apollo with him again and made ??a deal for the whistle gave him his golden shepherd's crook, with which chased the flock, and sent him the upper hand for their nannies Thrio, who taught him the divine pebbles. Hermes then became the god of cows and sheep herders.

Zeus, when he learned of all, he knew that his son is very bright, and so made ??him a messenger of the gods, protector and god of trade routes. He gave him as a gift after a crutch caduceus- with white ribbons as a badge of messengers who had every respect, further round hat petasos rain and winged golden sandals, which he wore wind speeds.

Hermes invented the fisticuffs, astronomy, tone scale, and many other things. He is worshiped by pilgrims and speaker, and buyer athlete and even thieves.
