This small beach is located in west Wareham. There is parking for about 30 cars, but parking is by town permit only, although day parking permits can be purchased for $10.00. The parking is really regulated only during the summer, especially on the weekends when this area is quite crowded.

There is no lifeguard on duty and the beach is officially open only from May 23 to Labor Day, so use at other times is at one's own risk.

There is one bench at the edge of the parking area, a concrete boat ramp, and a portable restroom during the open season. The beach here is very flat, so there is a large swing between high tide and low tide. There is an outer sandbar that offers further protection, making this harbor quite protected. In general the water is fairly warm and clean with some broken shells. The sand is somewhat course with shell fragments and not maintained at all even during the open season, so there are a lot of cigarette butts and smaller bits of trash around. Still this is a good beach to visit, with nice views and safe places for children to play in the water.

There is easy access from Route 6 in Wareham. Take Swift's Neck Beach Rd. and follow the signs.
