Krome Avenue Royal Palms
In 1915, the Rotary Club of Homestead together with the woman's club of Homestead planted several hundred Royal Palms along Krome Avenue, most of which survived until hurricane Andrew on August 24, 1992, when all but a few were lost.
The Rotary Club of Homestead gratefully acknowledges the generosity of those who made the 1995 restoration of Royal Palms along Krome Avenue between Campbell Drive and N.W. 21st Street possible through their donations of time, Finances and encouragement.
