Kurt Julian Weill (* 2. März 1900 in Dessau; † 3. April 1950 in New York) war ein deutscher Komponist, der aus einer jüdischen Familie stammte, 1933 nach der Machtübernahme durch den Nationalsozialismus auswanderte und, nachdem er 1935 in die USA emigriert war, deren Staatsbürgerschaft annahm. Er bezeichnete sich danach als amerikanischen Komponisten.
