This home made marker, in the shape of a cross, is made from 1-1/2 inch diameter white plastic waste pipe. The markings are made from stick on letters and numbers. This memorial is next to one of the driveways in this cemetery.

According to the Find A Grave memorial page for Ted Steele (visit link) he was born in Indianapolis on August 22, 1921 and died November 15, 1992, also in Indianapolis. (Note: there are differences in Ted's name and birth year, from the newspaper clipping below and the grave marker)

There is an newspaper death announcement, which reads:-

"Theodore "Ted" Steele, 71 of Danville, died Nov. 15 at Methodist Hospital of Indiana. He was born Aug. 22, 1921 in Indianapolis to Sam and Lucille Steele.
He was an elevator operator and sold pencils in front of L.S. Ayers.
He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Ann Edwards of Pittsboro, and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Nov. 18 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at K of P Cemetery in Lizton. "
