Columbia Cemetery, established in 1899, is no longer in use as a newer cemetery, Mountain View, has been established adjacent. Harry Howard's grave is in the eastern half of Columbia Cemetery, near the southwest corner.

Unfortunately, his headstone is now broken, something that has happened within the last two years as it wasn't broken when we visited in 2012. Actually, it had been broken earlier, repaired, and broke again. Probably an imperfect fix.

Harry Howard was born in London, England on February 6th, 1870 and passed away on April 5th, 1911, at the age of 41 years. He apparently died as the result of a mine accident at the Cliff Mine at Rossland. In his obituary of 08 Apr 1911 the Rossland Miner states that he left a wife and four children.
