We were aiming for the Ridge Trail trailhead and came across this one on Rte 73 coming from Keene Valley first. With a great parking spot, and unknown prospects ahead, we decided to hike the extra mile this starting point represented to summit Giant Mountain: a nice 3.6 mile (7.2 mile round trip) hike with spectacular views at the top.

Dogs should be leashed.
