"Die Burg Neunußberg ist eine heute nur noch als Ruine erhaltene ehemalige spätmittelalterlich bis frühneuzeitliche Adelsburg, und befindet sich im gleichnamigen Kirchdorf Neunußberg, östlich von Viechtach im niederbayerischen Landkreis Regen in Deutschland.
Vorhanden sind heute noch der mächtige quadratische Wohnturm der, Reste der Umfassungsmauer mit einem dreiviertelrunden Schalenturm sowie die renovierte Burgkapelle aus der Zeit von 1356. Der Turm hat einen quadratischen Grundriss mit einer Seitenlänge von etwa 20 Meter und einer Höhe von etwa 25 Meter.
Die Kapelle besitzt eine barocke Einrichtung. Der Hochaltar entstand um 1720, das Altarbild stellt St. Michael dar. Ein Bild des hl. Raphael mit Tobias (um 1650), eine Mater dolorosa (um 1700) und eine einfache Statue des hl. Michael (17. Jahrhundert) gehören zur Innenausstattung." Wikipedia (

The Neunußberg Castle is a preserved ruin (former late medieval to early modern noble castle) and is located in the little village Neunußberg, east of Viechtach in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen in Germany.
Available are still the mighty square tower, house of the remnants of the enclosure with a three-quarter round tray tower as well as the renovated chapel dating from 1356. The tower has a square plan with a side length of about 20 meters and a height of about 25 meters.
The chapel has a Baroque interior. The high altar was built about 1720, the altarpiece represents St. Michael. A picture of St. Raphael with Tobias (1650), a Mater dolorosa (1700) and a simple statue of St. Michael (17th century) are the interior appointments. (
