"Station is located on the highest point of a prominent peak known as Giant Mountain about 5 miles SE of Keene Valley. The mark is a bronze disk set In a drill hole in bedrock and is stamped GIANT 1942 (no longer readable).

"To reach the station from Keene Valley, got S on Highway 86A for 2.65 miles to a sign on the right Ausable Club, St. Hubert's, continue S for 0.55 miles to a parking space on the left, turn left into,parking space and go east across old ball park for 0.1 mile to the SE corner of the park, from here follow well marked trail (2-hour pack) to top of mountain and station."
