The station has two platforms, one for regular trains and the other for special events. It is the ideal spot to start to explore Lydney Harbour and see the great views over the River Severn. It is also just a 10 minute walk from the mainline station.
The Dean Forest Railway runs north from here culminating at the most notherly station on the line in Parkend.
