Edith Coombs Ewing was born October 16, 1904 and the daughter of Alfred and Lily Kevarn Coombs in Manor, Saskatchewan, Canada. She passed away on January 19, 2006 at the age of 101.

She was 27 when she married Thomas Yuill Ewing on September 10, 1932 in Kaslo, British Columbia.

Thomas was born in Scotland and the son of David and Margaret Yuill Ewing.

The Columbia Riverview Cemetery was established in 1928 by the Trail Knights of Pythias for use by their members. Once opened for use by the general public the name was informally changed from Knights of Pythias Cemetery to Columbia Riverview Cemetery.

The cemetery is well-maintained and is still in active use today. There are approximately 360 interments.
