Monett Rural Fire Station No. 2 - Firehouses on Waymarking.com

The town of Monett is situated on the boundary between Barry County and Lawrence County. Since the town is in both counties, the rural fire department is also in both counties. See the Monett Rural Fire Department Facebook pages (link below) for current information.

At the time of this waymark posting, the topographic map had one of the worst errors this poster has ever seen: it had this fire station 1 full mile off of where it is actually located. In fact, the location on the topo is that of a small produce shop owned by a local farmer (so we bought some of his sweet corn!). He was able to tell us how to get to the firehouse. Perhaps future topos will eventually have this fixed. In the meanwhile, you have this waymark for the correct coordinates!
