De kerk heet 100 zitplaatsen en wordt nog regelmatig gebruikt. In het vakantie seizoen zijn er elke zondag morgen nog diensten.
De kerk is vernoemd naar
St Egbert. Deze leidde een klooster in Ierland, vanwaar monniken uitgezonden werden naar de Friezen; o.a. St Willibrord.
Naast de kerk was vroeger een vakantiehuis (1922-1965) voor kinderen uit de grote steden. Dit is later afgestoten.
Het interieur is geïnspireerd op Romaanse stijl. Het heeft een houten plafond. De kruiswegstaties in 14 afbeeldingen vind je langs de muren. Op elke statie komen kinderen voor, dit heeft te maken met het vroeger verbonden kindertehuis.

The church has 100 seats and is still used frequently. During the holiday season there every Sunday morning services yet.
The church is named after St Egbert
. He was abbot of a monastery in Ireland, where monks were sent to the Frisians; among others, St Willibrord.
Next to the church was a children house (1922) for children from the major cities. This activity is abandoned in the sixties.
The interior is inspired by Romanesque style. It has a wooden ceiling. The Stations of the Cross in 14 images can be found along the walls. Come for children at each station that has to do with the formerly connected orphanage.
