Joe & Aggie's Cafe is a 3rd-generation business, serving the local area and Historic Route 66 since 1943. Said to be a Mexican institution famous for its chili. Once named the “hottest chow” on Route 66.
The Café was one of the locations along Route 66 visited by John Lasseter, where he drew his inspiration for the Disney Pixar Movie 'Cars'. The films story line is based on Route 66 and the affect of opening the Interstate, the suffering it caused, turning many small communities into Ghost Towns overnight.
Inside the walls have several pictographs and letters from John Lasseter and his Pixar team, thanking them for their inspiration associated with the movie 'Cars' (I have shown the pictographs in this listings photo gallery)
