The bell, of unknown origin and heritage, was dedicated to the memory of Douglas Bennett, the son of John W. Bennett, past reverend of the church. He had served as Pastor of Trinity UMC, Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, Mount Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church and Unity Methodist Episcopal Church, all in the Butte area, before becoming Pastor of this church.
