This Monument is dedicated to the Men from Rutherford County who joined the Confederate Army of Tennessee and served in the Following Companies During the War Between the States 1861 ~ 1865
Davis' Tennessee Cavalry Battalion, (Company G) 4th or 8th Baxter's Cavalry, Jonathan W. Nichols Company.
Douglas' Tennessee Battalion, Partisan Rangers Captain Lytle's Company (Company D) 11th Cavalry Regiment.
