Sacella is an aluminum and stained glass creation of Carol Kreeger Davidson. In ancient Rome, a sacellum is a small shrine, chapel, or altar used for devotion. Sacella is meant to provide a modern day equivalent space for meditation and contemplation.
Three curved benches form 270 degrees of an open circle. Three aluminum columns support a circular ring above the benches. The ring has free form perforations and stained glass adornments.
