The original Church building was constructed in 1914 so St.Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Sarto is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The present day Church, much larger than the original, was built in 1957. The Church seats two hundred and in the early years was often full. Now the church shares a regional Priest with four other towns and holds eighteen services a year with only about thirty people attending each service.
