A large stone plaque that was recently restored by the Dover Society. It commemorates the Belgium workers who came to Dover in 1946 to help rebuild houses as a thank you gesture to the residents of Dover for their stand against the Germans.

This commemorative stone plaque reads:

On May 14th 1946 M Leon Elie Trodet Belgian Minister of Labour and Social Security unveiled this tablet to commemorate the arrival of Belgian Workers who as a token of gratitude and admiration came to help in the rebuilding of  Dover, outpost of freedom from 1939-1945.
