De style néogothique, l'église du Sacré-Cœur est l'une des plus grandes de Lille avec 90 mètres de long, 24 mètres de large et 22 mètres de hauteur sous la voûte principale. Elle adopte un plan basilical, avec un déambulatoire qui fait le tour du chœur. Le transept est éclairé par trois rangées d'ouvertures : une rosace sous la voute, cinq petites fenêtres, puis deux plus grandes où sont représentés les quatre évangélistes.

L'église est pourvue d'un important mobilier néogothique, dont des stalles entourant le chœur, un ensemble de confessionnaux tous différents et une chaire en chêne ciré surmontée d'un dais en forme de pinacle, entièrement réalisé par Charles Buisine-Rigot.

Les grandes orgues ont été réalisées par Pierre Schyven de Bruxelles. L'orgue de chœur, de style néogothique anglais, de la fin du xixe siècle, a été réalisé par la fabrique Berington & Sons.

At 90 metres long, 24 metres wide and 22 metres high, Church of the Sacred Heart is one of the largest in Lille and was built in neo-gothic style. It is illuminated by three rows of openings: a rosette in the vault, five small windows and two larger where the four Evangelists are represented.

The church is equipped with a large amount of Gothic Revival furniture, including pews in the choir, a set of all different confessionals and a chair in polished oak surmounted by a canopy shaped pinnacle, built entirely by Charles Buisine-Rigot.

The choir organ is of English Gothic style and was built at the end of the 19th century by Berington & Sons.
