The depicted London's only lighthouse (also called Lighthouse on Trinity Buoy Wharf or Bow Creek Lighthouse), built in 1864 for testing of maritime lighting equipment and train lighthouse keepers, is located within the Docklands at the junction of rivers Lea (its last section is known as Bow Creek) and Thames.
Nowadays inoperative lighthouse, designed by renowned lighthouses architect James Nicholas Douglass, is a part of an area called Trinity Buoy Wharf. Trinity Buoy Wharf became in the 21th century an interesting independent cultural centre.
