The zinc monument dates from 1889. However, two of the burials took place before that date. According to the Ontario death registration (1880 #006197), Eliza Gleeson, age 5, tavern keeper's daughter, died in McKillop township, 7 December 1880. Richard B Gleeson, farmer, died of typhoid fever in West Nissouri, 21 December 1887 (registration 1887 #010418). Richard B Gleeson married Elizabeth Evans, 1 March 1871.
