The landing capsule of the Vostok ZKA-2 was sent into space 2 weeks before the legendary flight of Yuri Gagarin in 1961 aboard the Vostok-1, as a preparation flight.
The capsule took a dog named Zvedochka and a mannequin named Ivan Ivanovich on board into space on March 25, 1961.
The ship became the second adapted for human space flight.
"Vostok-ZKA No.2, also known as Sputnik 10 in the West, was a Soviet spacecraft which was launched in 1961, as part of the Vostok programme.
It was the last test flight of the Vostok spacecraft design prior the first manned flight, Vostok 1. It carried the mannequin Ivan Ivanovich, a dog named Zvezdochka "Starlet", television cameras and scientific apparatus."
