Just off the path from the car park to the entrance of Clearwell Caves, this chimney can be seen.

The chimney is part of an oven used to process ochre from the iron ore minerals in the cave system.

It is a brick chimney on a stone base. This is a beautiful area and the caves are an ancient natural system which have been extensively mined.
